Founded in 1911, Muehlstein markets more than 2.8 billion pounds annually of plastic and rubber polymers to 4,600-plus manufacturers in nearly 80 countries throughout the world. Muehlstein's products include polyethylene, polypropylene, polystyrene, polybutadiene, SBR, engineering resins and specialty compounds. The corporation operates globally through several affiliated companies, which includes H. Muehlstein & Co., Channel Prime Alliance, Pegasus Polymers, Muehlstein International, Muehlstein Compounded Products and Trinity Specialty Compounding. The company began as a New York trader of rubber raw material. After World War II, several new plastic materials began to be commercially produced on a large scale.
