On 9/23/17, we contacted Cool Temp upon seeing them listed on the Hoshizaki (ice machine manufacturer) website as an authorized service rep in the Portland area, as our ice machine was not dispensing ice. We requested that the ice machine be repaired and fully serviced. The tech spent 4-5 hours and we were billed $538, which was paid for promptly. A couple of weeks later, on 10/13/17 we contacted their office again as we were having the same symptom with the ice machine not dispensing ice. Spoke to 'Mike' who was apologetic and said he would work with us on the service call cost. A few days later we received an invoice for $205.25. After I reached out to their office, we were told that the second call was due to an unrelated issue and was not covered under a service warranty. Apparently, the full service and preventative maintenance we paid for on the first call did not address this issue. Weeks later, on 12/6/17, our machine malfunctioned again with the same symptom. Again, we called the office and they sent a Tech out for which we were billed $161.50. I contacted their office again and was told that we would have to pay for all the invoices and no warranty or rebate would be provided. Want to reiterate again that we paid for a full preventative maintenance service on the first call. The Service Tech clearly stated that to myself and the shift lead. The total cost thus far is $954.75 which includes a $50 late fee for the last two calls. That is half the cost of a brand new machine. The latest invoice received on 3/13/18 says 'This is the final notice before collections'
I called to ask about an estimate to get my slicer serviced and before i could ask about quotes, the gentleman on the phone rudely stated "we don't give free estimates". I wasn't looking for free estimates, just a question about what the price of an estimate would be. I found this to be pretty unsettling and not very good for a business looking to expand their services. I thanked him for the quick negative response and hung up the phone. I guess the previous reviews are very accurate, regardless of the follow up write up of the owner. I would not recommend this service.
i am a backyard refrigeration mechanich that worked for them for five minutes the owner is a bussinesman thief that knows no refrigeration they send two men to every job so they can double the pay which would be ok if one of them new refrigeration that was a while ago but as far as im concerned there not a true refrigeration company they started out to rip the restaraunts chains off that dont know no better its sounds like they think there somebody oh yea there not even from portland there from california they to to be shut down they have ffffffff portland long eneough

These guys are rude as heck. I asked him to call me back when he had a technican free and he told me to call someone else. He told me his priority was to his regular clients. I guess he doesn't need new clients. The guy had a bad attitude and I would never call this company again.
