We have used Sylvia's for 3 years now and I can rest easy knowing that my pet is there. We have no complaints and they are responsible people. Aidan is comfortable and safe there and he is well taken care of.

I have been bringing my pets here for years and have nothing but praise for this business and it's staff. When my dog first came here she had never been boarded before and was a little scared on her first stay. But when my husband and i moved further away from wilmington where we both work we were unable to leave her home alone all day so we checked into day boarding her. Now when we bring her 4-5 times a week she actually gets excited when she sees the building come into view. She loves to visit Sylvia's now and the staff there is wonderful with her if they notice that she is acting a little different than normal they will let me know, this is very helpful. With their information we were able to take our dog to the vet and found out she had a urinary infection that we had not noticed. She is very happy there and still gets excited when we come to get her and drinks a lot when she comes home, but our vet says that is normal for a pet to drink more when they come home from any stay he says dogs just get excited to see you and come home, and that seems to make them thirstier than they would normally be. Overall I have nothing but wonderful things to say about this place, and I will continue to use them even when we get new animals. If you need to leave your pet anywhere while you are gone I recommend sylvia's.

I've used Sylvia's several times and have had a loving, wonderful experience. My dog is a 3 year old rescue, very skittish and scared of almost everyone. The staff took the time ask me lot of questions and really seemed to listen to my concerns and tips for helping him. When I picked him up after 9 days, he was doing great and even gave one of the staff a kiss :)

You get what you pay for. This kennel is inexpensive, but our dog came back to us nearly traumatized. They promised that they would give him his blanket and toys while he was there for 10 days. They did not do so. We paid extra for grooming and he looked exactly the same as when we dropped him off. His nails we'rent even trimmed. I questioned if we were charged for a grooming service that wasn't performed. Our dog also lost a huge amount of weight and was returned to us hungry and thirsty. He was shaking when we picked him up and he generally loves everyone, is laid back and is playful. I will never take my dog back here ever again.
