- PregnancyRoutine chiropractic treatment during pregnancy is actually quite helpful for both mother and baby. The gentle and non-invasive techniques provided by a chiropractor are proven to help alleviate pain and reduce stress on muscular joints. Further, keeping regular appointments can also help align the pelvis for an easier delivery. However, if you have a high-risk pregnancy or experience severe pain, it is always a good idea to double-check with your doctor before scheduling a chiropractic appointment.
- Labor and DeliveryThere are tons of benefits of having chiropractic care while pregnant. The most common include decreased nausea during the first trimester, better body and posture alignment, and improved positioning of the baby. Many women who have prenatal chiropractic care often report easier labor and delivery than those that did not.

- Multiple SclerosisIndividuals who have chronic conditions, such as Multiple Sclerosis (MS), and athletes who are looking to enhance their performance can both benefit from E-Stim. Those with MS can experience a reduction in muscle tension and discomfort after a session, making movement easier. Athletes can use E-Stim to reduce swelling and soreness after a workout. It can also be used to decrease muscle stiffness as part of injury prevention. Speak with Dr. Shaver and Dr. Gullo today to explore your treatment options.
- Attention Deficit Hyperactivity Disorder (ADHD)Studies have been conducted that show chiropractic care can benefit children with ADHD. It can even help those who don't have ADHD in terms of concentration and behavior. Pediatric chiropractic care can even benefit the social interactions of children. Although studies haven't concluded whether chiropractic care can replace ADHD medications, you may notice a change in your child's behaviors and focus, which can lead to a decrease of medications, depending on your child's response to treatment.
- UltrasoundTherapeutic ultrasound uses sound waves above the range of human hearing to interact with tissues in the body that are either modified or destroyed. It creates a deep heat and increases the blood flow to the area being treated to help reduce local swelling and chronic inflammation.
- SciaticaSpinal traction is a treatment that consists of a chiropractor connecting you to a series of pulleys and rigging as you lie on a table. The device has a motor, which controls the rigging. Half of your body is gently pulled in one way while the other half of your body is pulled in the other direction. This helps alleviate pressure on the sensitive discs in your back. Particularly, this is a common treatment for sciatica.
