Established in 1987, Landfall is one of the finest residential and recreational communities in the United States. It occupies an area of more than 2,000 acres and has over 2,000 home sites. The community maintains an infrastructure of roads, trails, parks, sports facilities and postal stations, as well as the Country Club. Landfall is maintained by a council of associations that are responsible for the governance and maintenance of the shared common areas and facilities. Its facilities include a chapel, soccer field, playgrounds, and basketball and volleyball courts. The community also organizes a variety of sports and family activities. Its security staff provides an array of services, such as respond to resident inquiries, assistance and check homes while homeowners are traveling. It maintains a women s club, The Great Oaks Club, which meets monthly and conducts a variety of programs throughout the year. The Country Club of Landfall is one of the private, member-owned equity clubs in North Carolina.
