Dr. Cherry was born and raised in Wilmington, NC. He received his Doctorate of Dental Surgery with Honors from University of North Carolina-Chapel Hill in 2008. Dr. Cherry completed a three year residency at UNC-CH for pediatric dentistry and received his Masters of Science in 2011. Dr. Cherry’s research on prescribing antibiotics was published in 2011 by JADA and was nationally recognized when he received the OMNI Award. In November 2015, Dr. Cherry became a Diplomate of the American Academy of Pediatric Dentistry. Dr. Cherry graduated from New Hanover High School in 1998 and was a member of the 1998 State Championship 4A Men’s Golf Team. He attended UNC-Chapel Hill, played Men’s Golf and graduated in 2003. Dr. Cherry and his wife have three children and enjoy attending Carolina games and playing golf.
