West Intermediate School offers a variety of academic and extracurricular options to students in grades four and five. Its academic curriculum includes classes in art, and physical and health education. West Intermediate School has an annual enrollment of more than 315 students. The school works with a team of over 35 staff members that include a guidance councilor, reading specialist, speech pathologist and registered nurse. It also administers the Drug Abuse Resistance Education (D.A.R.E) program. West Intermediate School offers extracurricular activities, such music and band.
