Customer Reviews: Julia G., Wilmington, DE ~~ "BEST PRICES in the area (yes, I've compared the prices with ALL of the stores with a 5 mile radius)!!! - Price Example: Brancott Estate Sauvignon Blanc - - Avenue = $10.99 - - Franks Union Wine Mart = $12.99 - - Gilpin Liquors = $11.99 - - Inner Spirits = $11.99 - - Moore Brothers = unavailable b/c they don't carry "cheap wine" I have done similar price comparisons with beer and Avenue is ALWAYS cheaper. Unless you are looking for some $85.00 bottle of Bordeaux, go to Avenue. Employees and owners are always friendly and helpful as well. Even better- If they don't have something you like, they will order it for you!!" Kaitlin L. - Philadelphia, PA -- "As a Philadelphian, this place was guaranteed 5 stars just based on the fact that I can buy wine, liquor, AND beer all at the same location. Yes, I understand that's sort of unfair, but PA laws drive me nuts. Anyways... I really do prefer this liquor store over others. Why? Well, their selection of beer is pretty darn good. You can find your normal Bud Lights, Blue Moons, etc. happily coexisting with Blue Point Toasted Lager and Dogfish Head Punkin Ale. As a random side note, I am a pumpkin enthusiast. When the first case of Punkin Ale is spotted, I am more excited than on my birthday. After mentioning my affinity for this beer to the staff, they told me they'd save me a case if I needed one later that month. Seriously awesome. What really sets this place apart though is the staff itself. I'm pretty sure it's family owned (?) Despite their love of the Yankees (there is a dog in the store all the time named Jeter, sigh) I always feel at home when I come in. They are more than willing to look in the back for something or to give a suggestion. Also, someone almost always opens the door for me as I lug out my purchases. It's so refreshing to have such a pleasant and helpful group of people at this store."
