Recently quoted a price for a repair of ~1500 dollars. Did it myself for 150. Prices for parts seem to be heavily marked up. While a do it yourself project is clearly going to cost you less, what I found in this instance is that several of the fixes (the most expensive ones) they suggested were not needed and the problem was cured by fixing one sensor in the cars engine. On the good side, they are quick. If you need to have your car right away, they will often diagnose and fix the problem in less than 24 hours.
