Specialty Glass Products was founded in 1961 by Frank C. Arrison. The company began by producing precision glass housings for high-reliability resistors. One year after it was founded, with the accumulation of orders and diversification into thermo-compression bonding tools and thermocouple shields, the company was moved to its first industrial facility in Horsham, Pa., and operated there for a period of 10 months. It continued to grow and broaden its capabilities. The company bought and occupied its present facility in Willow Grove, Pa., in 1967. It is involved in the medical instrumentation, fiber optics and electronic industries. The company specializes in the fabrication of precise, tight-tolerance glass parts for many applications, particularly those in the high-technology industries.
