Located in Willow Grove, Pa., Eastern Center for Arts and Technology was founded in 1965 as an Area Vocational Technical School under the administration of the Montgomery County Intermediate Unit. It is a partnership establishment of nine public school districts that include Abington School District, Bryn Athyn School District, Cheltenham Township School District, Hatboro-Horsham School District and School District of Jenkintown. It provides a wide range of services that include high school, cosmetology occupational, computer network administration and practical nursing and nursing assistant programs. In addition, it offers automotive and collision repair technology and enhanced emission inspector certification and rectification programs. Eastern Center for Arts and Technology is also the pesticide testing center for the licensing examination given by the Pennsylvania Department of Agriculture.
