Garfield East Elementary School serves more than 400 students in prekindergarten through grade four. It offers a range of academic courses, such as mathematics, reading, art, social studies and science. The school s social studies program includes a combination of projects and activities that are designed to enhance the curriculum and increase student understanding. It also offers a before- and after-school program for elementary school students whose parents work before and after school. In addition, the school has a parent-teacher association that provides special cultural arts and educational programs for its students throughout the school year.
