Awful! Rude staff, not helpful, and very unprofessional. Lady working the desk was miserable. They messed up time of appointment and would not claim any responsibility. This was a first time visit and they sent us away in a nasty, urgent and demeaning way. Will NEVER come back and have convinced others to stay away as well.

Our family over the past 20 years have had perhaps eight different vets and for the past 8 years we have stayed with the Sodus Animal Hospital. The doctor is very knowledgeable and he spends extra time every time we go to answer any questions to look over our animals thoroughly and provides answers to all of our questions and concerns. It's easy to see that he has a great love of animals and we will continue to go there as long as he continues his practice there. I would highly recommend this place to anybody. Sometimes we've had to wait past our appointment time perhaps ten fifteen minutes past our arrival time but to us it's worth it because we know he's just giving the client before us all the time they need and he will do the same thing for us. The place is very clean and is up to current Veterinary practices and care for animals. We are so glad that we found this Animal Hospital. Our pets mean everything to us and would only want them to see and have the best care

VERY POOR performance and rude employees. I'm not sure the vet is even ever there. We have never seen him! employees doing shots, exams ect. that are not licensed vets. We have been treated very rude on several occasions! DO NOT RECOMMEND SODUS VETEINARY HOSPIAL TO ANYONE!!

About 5 years ago, my then 10 year old dog had unexplainable growths on his head and neck. At the time, everyone thought this was it. He must have cancer. After several visits to our old vet and numerous medications prescribed, we decided to get a second opinion and went to Dr. Beikirch. He too had never seen anything like this before but talked with colleagues and ultimately prescribed medication that eliminated the swollen growths. My German Sheperd is now 15 years old. Not only are they thorough in their approach, but the staff is friendly and helpful as well.

We took our 9 year old Silky Terrier for his first visit to Sodus Veterinary Hospital because his previous Vet was very rough with him. When we arrived, the Receptionist asked for our Dog to "sit on her counter for a cookie". Then, Dr. Beikirch opened the Examining Room door, got down on his hands & knees and said "where is Louie?" The dog ran to him! We were shocked!! Louie does not run to anyone! What an "outstanding" experience! Our hats are off to Dr. Beikirch & his entire Staff for their Caring Professional Care. It just doesn't get any better than this!

I am new to the area and had a decent experience here several months ago. The office staff was polite and had me come right in for an urgent issue. The vet I saw at the time was helpful and competent. She listened when I explained the symptoms, which is important to me, and took her time to ensure I understood the issue and course of treatment. My second visit, however, was completely unacceptable. I saw a different doctor who refused to listen to the information I was providing and came up with a speculative diagnosis that made no sense to me. Thank goodness I left there and drove straight to the veterinary hospital in my previous neighborhood where my pet received life-saving medical attention. After this experience, I wouldn't take my pet rock here.
