Norge Elementary School serves the educational needs of students in grades kindergarten through five. Established in 1967, the school has an enrollment of more than 600 students. The school is also the home of the NEED Center, a preschool for students with disabilities between the ages of 2 and 5. It has more than 100 adult staff members that include teachers, teaching assistants, cafeteria workers, building and grounds workers, administrators and specialists. Its curriculum comprises subjects, such as language arts, social studies, science, math, technology and fine arts. Its parent-teacher association sponsors various family events and academic enrichment programs throughout the school year. Norge Elementary School is a part of the Williamsburg-James City County Public Schools and is located in Williamsburg, Va.
