Founded in 1982, Hospice House and Support Care of Williamsburg is a member of the National Hospice and Palliative Care Organization and a charter member of the Virginia Association of Hospices. It provides nonmedical assistance for individuals with cancer, chronic heart diseases and pulmonary disorders. The organization offers various sick room supplies and equipment on loan. Located in Williamsburg, Va., Hospice House and Support Care of Williamsburg also provides educational and inspirational books. Its residential center features private bedrooms and lounges. The organization offers referral services to bereaved families. Its chaplain provides spiritual care to patients and their loved ones. In addition, Hospice House and Support Care of Williamsburg offers speakers for community, civic and church group.
