  The Medicare Annual Wellness visit is a preventive wellness visit and not a routine physical examination. Copayment or coinsurance and the Medicare Part B Deductible are waived except for the EKG in the Welcome to Medicare visit.
• Immunizations
  The Affordable Care Act, also known as the "Obamacare", requires health plans to cover an Annual Wellness Examination (or Preventive Care) at no additional cost to you -- copayment or coinsurance and deductibles are waived.* In addition to a complete physical examination, it includes review of your medical history, medication list, and family history. Most plans also cover routine lab work, cancer screening (if appropriate), immunization (if appropriate), and evaluation of lifestyle/disease risk factors (diet, exercise, smoking, alcohol, drugs).

  Dr. Myrna C. De Asis completed her undergraduate studies with a Baccalaureate Degree in Biochemistry in 1980 from the University of Santo Tomas in Manila, Philippines. Dr. De Asis received her Medical Degree from University of Santo Tomas Faculty of Medicine and Surgery in 1984. Her internship and residency in Internal Medicine included rotations at Westchester Medical Center in Valhalla, New York, and Mount Vernon Hospital in Mount Vernon, New York.
