Barwise Junior High School provides academic instruction in language arts, math, science, social studies, industrial technology, art, music, world languages, reading and computer technology. The school offers a variety of extracurricular activities, such as band, choir, orchestra, theater and art. In addition to its core curriculum, the school offers family and consumer science classes that focus on personal responsibility and leadership skills of the students. Barwise Junior High School offers various sports activities, such as volleyball, football, basketball, track, tennis and golf. The school supports destination imagination, academic pentathlon, student council and National Junior Honor Society. It has a parent-teacher organization that supports a volunteer program for underprivileged children. Barwise Junior High School is a party of the Wichita Falls Independent School District and is located in Wichita Falls, Texas.
