Whitwell High School is an educational institution that serves more than 380 students in grades 9 through 12. Founded in 1977, the school focuses on physical and character development of students. Its academic curriculum includes fine arts, mathematics, science, social studies and technology education. The school also offers classes in writing skills and English and Spanish languages. Whitwell High School conducts tournaments and championships. The school provides opportunities for sports activities that include volleyball, football, baseball, softball, tennis and wrestling. It maintains a student council and interact club. Whitwell High School is a part of Marion County Schools, which operates various elementary, middle and high schools.
