  Over the years, as David and Darian have seen their bathroom business grow with more and more satisfied customers, they have gotten one consistent request. These customers ask if the company can do the same thing for their outdated kitchen as they did for their bathroom! These requests from past customers have led to David and Darian adding Kitchen Remodeling services. In 2019, David and Darian accepted the exclusive Franchise for Cabinet Restylers for SE Michigan. For a fraction of the cost of a new kitchen, homeowners can get a substantial facelift with restyled kitchen cabinets and new counters.

  We’re thrilled to be able to share more with you about the winner of our 2021 Veteran Bathroom Giveaway Contest, Lamar Harrington. A Marine who served in the Vietnam War, Lamar was surprised with a check from Atlas Home Improvement’s own David Bobby, to cover the cost of a full bathroom renovation.

  During their window washings, homeowners would often ask Darian and his workers if they wouldn’t mind – since they were already up there on the ladder anyway – to clean out their gutters. Darian found that he didn’t like cleaning people’s gutters any more than they did! It was a dirty job and he had a few close calls walking on the roofs cleaning gutters. As a result, Darian began installing aluminum screens for his customers – so he wouldn’t have to clean their gutters. He soon realized that screens were ineffective and would never be a long term solution.

  Gutter Helmet is able to be installed in conjunction with many styles of roofing materials, including metal, cedar shake, composite, and slate. It can even be installed on low-pitch and flat roofing systems as well as on a very steep-pitch mansard roof. This is due to the physics behind Gutter Helmet’s design which leverages molecular water adhesion or surface tension. As long as the rainwater coming off the roof flows over the top of the Gutter Helmet panel, it will be directed around the “nose” and into the gutter.

  In 1989, David became a Licensed Builder and started a handyman business (The House Doctor) and soon realized that he would always have plenty of work. He also found that he would be forever constrained by the hours in the day – as to what he could accomplish and earn as a sole proprietor. Yet, he was happy.
