Westchester County Department of Public Works is a government department that provides various services, such as designing and constructing of infrastructural systems for Westchester County, and overseeing capital projects and repair and replacement projects. It also offers maintenance, repair and grounds upkeeping services for White Plains Complex, Valhalla Campus, parking facilities and heating and refrigeration systems. Additionally, it maintains roads, bridges and traffic signals that are under County s jurisdiction. It also operates and maintains a traffic engineering and safety program to minimize crashes, and offer education programs and enforcement. The divisions of the department include administration, automotive, building operations, engineering, road maintenance and traffic divisions. The department also provides permits for building construction and approves various constructions. It also offers various programs, such as the Adopt-a Road Program, inflow and infiltration and a graffiti removal and deterrent programs.
