Established in 1963, the White Oak Volunteer Fire Department provides fire suppression, rescue and hazardous material services for the city of White Oak, Texas. It maintains a fleet of fire engines, pumpers, tankers, and forestry and utility vehicles. The department provides volunteers with training related to fire management, emergency medical services, hazardous materials mediation, search and rescue and vehicle extrication. It offers burn permits and organizes various community and fundraising events. The department is a member of the State Fireman s and Fire Marshal s Association of Texas and The Commission on Fire Protection. The White Oak Volunteer Fire Department operates two fire stations in White Oak, Texas.
