Lois Kamugisha, M.D., warmly referred to as Dr. Kami by her patients, attended medical school at U.W.I in Trinidad, completed her residency at Morehouse in Atlanta, and completed her fellowship at MedStar Washington Hospital Center in the Georgetown program in Washington, D.C. She is board certified in internal medicine and hematology/oncology. Dr. Kamugisha cares for patients with blood disorders and cancer. As an oncologist she coordinates treatment planning and provides chemotherapy, immunotherapy and targeted treatments if indicated.
