• Chiropractic Adjustments
  Since 1984 Drs. Gurman have provided Specific Chiropractic Spinal Adjustments that are both safe and effective for all ages including newborns, infants, toddlers, young adults, adults and seniors (eldest patient is 90). Specific Chiropractic Spinal Adjustments are especially safe and effective for children with health challenges such as chronic ear infections, ill or sick often, and for women during pregnancy to help ease the often painful nine months and Chiropractic often makes labor, delivery, and postpartum easier by working gently and specifically to reduce and remove any nerve pressure, known as "Spinal Subluxation",

  A Vertebral or spinal Subluxation is caused by abnormal or misaligned spinal bones(vertebra) and pelvis resulting in abnormal never pressure that may or may not cause immediate pain. Proper alignment for men and women is vistal to good health and longevity but It is especially important to women throughout pregnancy to maintain proper alignment of the spine and pelvis. It is also becoming well known that chiropractic care improves immune system function. Specific Chiropractic Spinal Adjustments can dramatically stimulate the nerve-immune system connection helping many people, young and older, during the cold and flu season of fall and winter remain healthy and or recover faster then those who have Spinal Subluxations. That is why Chiropractic is much more then merely the treatment of a "back ache". Nerves effect every body part so it is vital to overall health to have regular chiropractic check ups as no other doctors, MD, DO, PT's, or heath care providers have the education or advanced training to properly analyze the spine for Spinal subluxations. And only a Doctor of Chiropractic (DC) such as Drs. Gurman have the years of experience in the art of the Specific Chiropractic Spinal Adjustment. Do not be fooled by those who are not chiropractors and say they do the same thing or that "manipulation" is the same as an "adjustment" they are two very different procedures. Only a DC (chiropractor) can provide "adjustments". Anyone else "manipulates" Adjustments are specific for the purpose of reducing and correcting Vertebral Subluxation. Manipulation is neither specific or for correcting subluxation. ANY ONE CAN "MANIPULATE" ONLY A LICENSED DOCTOR OF CHIROPRACTIC (DC) CAN PROVIDE AN "ADJUSTMENT".
• Pediatric Chiropractic
  Dr. Jett Gurman and Dr. Cathy Gurman are both licensed as a Doctor of Chiropractic (DC) in the state of New Jersey. They have cared for children through out their professional careers. Youngest patient 5 days old. They received their D.C. degree in 1983 from Life University (formerly Life Chiropractic College), Atlanta, Georgia. Dr. Jett Gurman did undergraduate education at Ferris State College, Michigan. Dr. Cathy Gurman attended Bucknell University, Pa. and obtained a BS in Biology. Their professional affiliations include: Founding members of the Council of New Jersey Chiropractors (CNJC). Past Board of directors members and past Chairman of the Insurance Committee of the CNJC. They have been members of the International Chiropractors Association, and Founding Member of the International Chiropractic Pediatric Association. They are also a members of the President's Circle at Life University. Members of the Westwood Chamber of Commerce since 1987, Dr. Jett Gurman, Board of Trustee Member since 2009. Other affiliations have included the Rotary Club, Optimist International, and Scout Leader for his 2 sons for 10 years. Currently both are members of UNICO, the Italian American service organization.

Many insurance policies including BC and Auto plans cover acupuncture as well as chiropractic and there is no charge for a consultation to discover how it may be of help for a variety of conditions including pain mgt., weight loss, smoking cessation, digestive conditions, Migraine, stress reduction to name a few of the many health challenges people have been helped with.
