Gene Pino provided me with excellent jazz instruction this past fall. I came to him with knowledge in classical, but felt that my knowledge in jazz needed a lot of improving. Gene worked with me on a jazz repertoire, and discussed different methods and approaches to improvisation. After only a couple months of working with him, I applied and auditioned for New York University, and was accepted into their jazz performance program.
