Carroll Christian School has been providing Christian education to the community in Maryland since 1973. It is an elementary and secondary coeducational school, offering instructions to students from prekindergarten through grade 12. The school began as Carroll Christian Academy in 1973 in conjunction with the Church of the Open Door. It enrolls more than 300 students, and has a teacher to student ratio of 1-to-13. The school offers classes in mathematics, social studies, science and technology, computer science, health education, English, arts and crafts, music and physical education. It also offers various extracurricular activities and has athletic teams for soccer, volleyball, basketball, baseball and softball. The school is affiliated with the American Association of Christian Schools. Its library has a wide collection of fiction and nonfiction books, subject books, magazines and reference material for teachers. Carroll Christian School is located in Westminster, Md.
