I took an older Designer 1 that had been sitting around for a few years in for repair. The authorized Viking repairman wouldn't even take it to give me an estimated cost to repair and replace missing parts (top cover, bobbin cover, and needle plate). I was willing to pay the $110 to have it cleaned, oiled, and inspected just to get an estimate. But they wouldn't even take the machine to formulate an estimate. I cannot recommend this Viking Center.
