      BusinessA total material handling solutions provider. The company has expertise in providing caster and wheel and conveyor systems solutions as well as a full-line of general material handling products, including carts, hand trucks, pallet jacks and warehousing products such as shelving, rack and storage systems to a full range of manufacturing, warehousing and distribution companies. CC-EFI also provides installation, service and repair of conveyor systems. The company's Rowe Bumper Division fabricates and distributes molded and extruded bumpers for industry as well as loading dock equipment and marine fenders.Conveyer & Caster was founded in 1961 by Albert Stohr Sr. at a nearby Detroit Avenue location. Albert Sr. had the vision of operating a company with strong customer-focus and keen product knowledge. With the death of Albert Stohr Sr. in 1964, Albert Stohr Jr., who was part of the company with his father, took over leadership of the business. In 1979, Rowe Bumpers was acquired and in later years offices in Toledo, Pittsburgh, Buffalo and Syracuse were opened. Albert Stohr Jr. has remained a key advisor to the merged company. Albert Stohr Jr. is a recognized leader in the material handling industry, having helped found the National Caster Alliance, which unites distributors in support of U.S. manufacturers. Jeff Stohr is currently president of the alliance. Trevor Stohr serves as vice president of the Cleveland Industrial Distributor Association ( CIDA ).Albert's two sons, Jeff and Trevor, joined the company in 1989 and 1992, respectively. Albert Jr. insisted that both sons work elsewhere before joining him in the company. Jeff worked with Parker Hannifin in technical sales and Trevor worked with Shell Oil Company as a sales marketing representative before joining Conveyer & Caster.In 2006, Conveyer & Caster, as it was known at the time, merged with Equipment for Industry, another long-time Cleveland-based material handling distributor. Equipment for Industry, Inc had served customers in Ohio and western Pennsylvania with general lines of material handling products since 1955.Advanced Belting & Conveyor Co, which was founded in 1994 by John Fitzgerald, was acquired in 2007. With this addition, CC-EFI can provide turn-key conveyor solutions along with installation, repair, belt fabrication and service. John Fitzgerald, founder of Advanced Belting & Conveyor, continues to head this important in-house capability, which includes expertise in engineering, specialty electric controls and custom conveyor fabrication.In September of 2008, Anderson Wood & Metal Works Inc, based near Erie, Pa. was acquired. Anderson Wood & Metal, which was founded in 1986 by Jim and Sandy Anderson, serves some of the largest employers in Northwest Pennsylvania, including General Electric's locomotive plants in Erie and Grove City, Pa., Lord Corporation in Erie and Channellock, Inc in Meadville, Pa. Since 1986, Anderson Wood & Metal serves principally manufacturing companies in Northwestern Pennsylvania and Western New York with their materials handling equipment, custom metal fabrication and pneumatic tool needs.
