      In addition to her position with Summit Health, Kathleen H. Leistikow, MD, is Attending Physician at Overlook Medical Center in Summit, New Jersey. She also is Clinical Assistant Professor in the Department of Family Medicine at the University of Medicine and Dentistry of New Jersey in Newark.Before joining Summit Health, Dr. Leistikow practiced privately with Paramount Medical Group/Westfield Family Practice in Westfield, New Jersey. She is a fellow of the American Academy of Physicians.Dr. Leistikow is focused on preventive measures such as healthy dietary, exercise, and lifestyle habits to help avoid disease. She says, "I empower my patients with education about ways they can help stay healthy. While traditional medicine can have a positive role in helping my patients achieve and maintain their health, I encourage them to take an active role in their health each day."When she is not working with her patients, Dr. Leistikow enjoys swimming, tennis, and hiking with her husband and 3 children.
