Was there on New Years Eve. The place was a bit busy but there is no excuse for the quality of the food. I ordered the prime rib special. It cam with a salad shrimp cocktail and twice baked potato. The salad came and I asked for the shrimp. I was told it was coming, the kitchen was busy. The shrimp final came and I asked the waitress to slow down my dinner. Well it came within 4 minutes, because the kitchen was trying to catch back up. Well I don't want to eat food that has sat in the kitchen for 10 minutes. Just want you to know that even though the place is less than .05 tenths of a mile from my home will never be back

I Love this place! My husband and I are here at least 2 or 3 times a week. The food is great and by reading the other reviews, it clearly states on the menu that the food is cooked to order. If you want fast food, drive to McDonalds. On Tuesday's for lunch, you can get one of their half pound hamburgers and Fries for $5, which is a GREAT deal! It is very nice to see the owners in there working and the staff is great!! We tell all our friends about The Mill and they love it too! Thanks for being a great stop so close to home!!

i have ten yrs resturant experience and i visited the mill tavern and will not be talking this place to any my friends sevice was all around ok, but that is not this business's problem its the cooks preparing the food zero talent, no passion. The bar can do well, obviously but if they are trying to service customers with food get someone back there that can keep people coming back for the food and not the drink

The atmosphere was great but the waitress was the worst I've had in years, very rude and extremely slow. The food was ok, the fries were cold, chicken was semi too slimy and I found a bone. I will not be coming back here in the future.

I stopped by the mill for the first time a week ago and was so pleased to see a decent clean rest./bar that has no smoking. Drink prices were more than fair and the food was clearly cooked to order and tasted great

Just moved back to my hometown; and heard of the Mill. Nice place; but the service is SLOW!!. Visited at lunch and only one server; plus what appeared to be a manager (?), who was waiting on tables; and appearing to have problems with the computer. 15 minutes from the time my order was taken; until we were served. I would not typically be negative about this; but at lunch, I would expect to be served at a faster pace. It appeared that my guests and I had missed the lunch rush; but did notice that our food sat ready for a minute or two; while the staf cleared tables and took drinks to others. I did notice the cook repeat the words hot food getting cold before the food was served; not exactly piping hot; but not cold by any means. It seemed odd that there were only two staff members on duty for lunch. Food was good; but the service was not appropriate. I might suggest that someone try to work on service levels to succeed.

It's a nice cozy place but they don't know how to cook. Last time I ordered a hamburger medium rare it came cooked well. Tonight I ordered a patty melt medium rare. It was cooked medium rare but the rye bread wasn' t grilled and it had lettuce, tomato, raw onion, pickle and cold swiss cheese on it. On the side was mayonaise and thousand island dressing. The service was average but the bartender didn't care that my sandwich was not what I ordered. He didn't know what a patty melt was.

Very nice, cozy, friendly place. Great location and wonderful environment for a good burger and beer. I hope they continue to do well!
