Advance Physical Therapy of Westerly (formerly Westerly Physical Therapy at Wilcox Park) is a private, outpatient physical therapy clinic located in Westerly, RI. We are dedicated to the treatment and rehabilitation of physical injuries requiring a professional touch and personally tailored regimen. Clinic visits consist of soft tissue and joint mobilizations, modalities, as well as stretching and strengthening to return patients to their prior level of function. We also offer Aquakinetic treatment (aquatic therapy) twice a week at the Westerly-Pawcatuck YMCA pool. For the convenience of our patients we also share an office location with South County Foot and Ankle. Disciplines: * Aquakinetic Physical Therapy: Utilizes the specific properties of water to aid in rehabilitation and wellness. It is designed to simulate a zero-gravity environment to lessen resistance on injuries. All patients are treated in a water medium as well as the clinic for land based therapy. * Core & Balance Therapy: An excellent program for athletes, as many sports require great core strength and flexibility. * Joint Stability: Exercises and programs designed to strengthen the muscle groups that aid in joint stability. These exercises are very useful to orthopedic post-operative patients in regaining strength and mobility. * Pain Management: A program designed to accommodate those individuals suffering from chronic pain and/or discomfort. This program is very beneficial to nearly any post-operative patient to help ease their discomfort during rehabilitation.
