West Point Elementary School is part of the Troup County School System, a high school system with more than 15 schools. Located in West Point, Ga., the school offers classes from prekindergraten through grade five. Its curriculum includes English, language arts, math, science, social studies, music, fine arts, computer technology and physical education. It has a parent-teacher association that involves parents in various educational activities of the school. It organizes various events, such as fund-raisers, theater productions and field trips. It offers a variety of sports activities including football, volleyball, basketball, soccer, softball, tennis, and track and field. The school also offers a library, computer laboratory and cafeteria, and transportation services for its students. It is accredited by the Southern Association of Colleges and Schools.
