Mops, rugs and shirts all find a common thread at Wehadkee Yarn Mills. The company produces open-end spun, 100-percent cotton yarns for the knitting, weaving and tufting industries. Its yarn types include dyed, plied, hosiery and heatset. Yarns produced at the mill are provided to apparel, home furnishings and industrial trades. The yarn counts produced are 2's through 8's, single and plied, and 4's through 20's single knitting yarns. Wehadkee has a package-dye plant to dye vat, fiber-reactive and direct shades to meet customer specifications. Headquartered in West Point, Ga., Wehadkee Yarn Mills has a spinning mill and a dye house located in Talladega, Ala., and another spinning mill in Rock Mills, Ala. It was incorporated in 1905.
