The Palm Beach County Sheriff's Office is a county department that employs more than 3,500 individuals. The office provides law enforcement and other regulatory services, such as crime prevention and investigations, patrolling, drug enforcement and control, and traffic regulation and investigations. The office also intervenes in cases of domestic violence and provides information and assistance to victims. Its investigators interview people, gather documents and evaluate facts related to various crimes. Additionally, the department provides a range of services, such as sex offender information, recovery of stolen property and other information services. The Palm Beach County Sheriff's Office operates through community services, patrol, human resources, communications and central records divisions.
