It is a wholly owned subsidiary of the AMR Corporation. American operates scheduled flights throughout the United States, and flights to Canada, Latin America, the Caribbean, Western Europe, Japan, China and India. It serves more than 150 cities with a fleet of over 670 aircraft. American Airlines is a founding member of the Oneworld airline alliance. Its airport lounges are known as Admirals Clubs. American Airlines has five hubs that include Dallas-Fort Worth, Texas; Miami; Chicago; St. Louis; and San Juan, Puerto Rico. American Airlines is headquartered in Fort Worth, Texas.
