General Info

We are a privately held company in West Palm Beach, FL proudly doing business for 13 years. Established in 2002. We originally started our business in the late 70s in Michigan. After my father retired from the Detroit Lighting company. We moved from Detroit to Ithaca, a small farming community. We turned a barn into an antique and lighting store. We grew into custom making lamp shade frames and lamp shades for our customers, as well as interior design. After 30 years in Ithaca, we closed our doors and moved South to West Palm Beach, FL. We opened A Shade Above LLC on September 1, 2002. We love being a small family run business as this allows us to really interact with our customers and be apart of the local community.
