- General SurgerySince he began his private practice in 1993, Dr. Morrow has used his skills in reconstructive plastic surgery in the Face-to-Face Program: The National Domestic Violence Project. Through the program, Dr. Morrow provides free care to victims of domestic abuse. More recently, he has joined the Faces of Honor program, an initiative through the American Academy of Facial Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery that provides pro bono medical and surgical services to veterans and active duty members of the military who have sustained facial injuries while deployed in support of the wars in Iraq or Afghanistan. Through his work in the emergency rooms and burn units at St. Barnabas Medical Center and St. Michael's and Newark Beth Israel Medical Centers, Dr. Morrow also provides pro bono services to uninsured patients in need.
- Minimally Invasive SurgeryEndoscopic and laser techniques allow Dr. Morrow to perform many rejuvenation procedures with minimal incisions, thereby reducing the visibility of scars. In this manner, swelling and bruising are less, allowing for a shorter recovery period. During your consultation with Dr. Morrow, he will inform you which procedures may be performed with this minimally invasive surgery in order to help you select the best method suited to your particular condition and cosmetic goals.
- Ear Surgery
- OtolaryngologyAs a Clinical Assistant Professor of Surgery, Department of Otolaryngology / Head & Neck Surgery at the University of Medicine & Dentistry of New Jersey, Dr. Morrow frequently lectures to fellows and residents, and hosts visiting medical students.
- Mohs Surgery"The hole left in my face after my MOHS surgery was absolutely devastating. Your warm and caring attitude gave me the reassurance and confidence I was hoping for. You truly made me feel special…. as if I was the only one you were caring for."
- Reconstructive SurgeryIn contrast, Dr. Morrow spent the four years following his surgical internship focusing exclusively on the anatomy, physiology, and pathology of the face, head, and neck. He then went on to train an additional year (a fellowship) in cosmetic facial surgery and was appointed a Fellow in the American Academy of Facial Plastic & Reconstructive Surgery. This in-depth concentration provided him with a strong background in the type of surgery you are seeking.
- BotoxBOTOX® therapy is a cosmetic procedure that can have remarkable results in improving the wrinkles formed by hyperactive facial muscles. BOTOX® simply, safely, and effectively improves frown lines, "crow's feet," and neck bands.
- Brow LiftUpper eyelid surgery involves removal of excess fat, muscle and loose skin through an incision placed in a natural skin fold. It is frequently performed in conjunction with lower eyelid surgery, where a similar type of procedure is performed through an incision inside the lower eyelid. Typically this outpatient surgery takes about two hours using twilight anesthesia. It may be performed along with a brow lift, facelift or laser skin resurfacing to achieve the best results.
- Eyelid SurgeryA cosmetic surgery consultation with Dr. Morrow can help you decide if you are a good candidate for eyelid surgery. Before making the final decision, you will have to see your eye doctor to be sure that you can undergo the procedure.
- LiposuctionRemoving the excess fatty tissue around the lower face and along the neckline through liposuction can help shave years off someone's appearance. More youthful and natural contours are regained in just a couple of hours by the removal of those unwanted pouches.
- Breast AugmentationWhile all surgeons who perform cosmetic and reconstructive facial plastic surgery have the same basic training (college, medical school, and at least one year of residency), there are different paths that can be taken when it comes to advanced study. Some plastic surgeons spend the next three to five years training in general surgery followed by two years of specialty training in plastic surgery (body contouring, breast augmentation/reduction, tummy tucks, etc.).
- RhinoplastyThe nose is the most prominent facial feature. When it is out of proportion with other features, it can seem to dominate the whole face. Rhinoplasty, or corrective nasal surgery, can help bring the nose into line with a person's other features; the key is to create a natural-looking nose that fits the face.
- Plastic SurgeryAt Tomorrow's Face, our plastic surgery practice is highly specialized with an exclusive focus on one region: the face. That's because we believe a specialist can offer exceptional care when a medical practice is devoted to one area of the body.
- Face LiftAging may be inevitable, but looking old before your time is not. A facelift, or rhytidectomy, can turn back the clock and restore the youthful appearance that reflects the way you feel inside.
- Neck LiftFor example, for male patients undergoing a full face and neck lift, care must be taken to design incisions so as to preserve the sideburn and to avoid pulling sideburn hair into the ear. In some patients, skin and submental fat can be removed with an irregular vertical closure to break up the scar and make it look less conspicuous. In the midface of select male patients who are willing to accept a scar, direct excision of a deep nasolabial fold may be the most effective method for permanent effacement of this area. Direct excisional methods are particularly suited for the elderly male patient with some health issues, in whom a prolonged general anesthetic is undesirable.
- BlepharoplastyAn eyelid lift, or blepharoplasty, can turn back the clock and give mature men a refreshed look. However, unlike the procedure in women, an eyelid lift must be performed differently on men in order to take into consideration the more "rugged" appearance of male facial skin and male features.
- OtoplastyIf your ears are too large, uneven, misshapen, or stick straight out from your head, a cosmetic procedure called otoplasty can be performed any time after the age of five. By this time, the ear cartilage is relatively firm and nearly adult size. The procedure is usually well tolerated by young children, and choosing to have the problem corrected early can protect your child from cruel school yard teasing. For adults who have have suffered years of poor self-esteem because of your ears, otoplasty can give you a whole new image and outlook today.
- Scar RevisionNo plastic surgeon, no matter how talented, is able to completely remove a scar and make it invisible. However, Dr. Morrow can make your scars less conspicuous through scar revision techniques involving direct excision, reorientation with flaps, replacement with grafts, or resurfacing with the laser.
- Lip AugmentationAesthetic ideals vary with emerging fashion trends and within different cultures. Today, fuller lips are considered a desirable trait. Many younger patients are seeking lip augmentation to achieve the sought-after look commonly seen in fashion magazines.
- Body Contouring
- Laser ResurfacingFacial rejuvenation procedures are intended to help combat the undesirable effects of aging. If you feel that the face looking back at you in the mirror appears saggy and tired when inside you are still young and vibrant, Dr. Morrow can help you regain your youthful appearance and look as good as you feel through facial rejuvenation procedures using laser and endoscopic techniques. These endoscopic techniques can be applied to the mid and upper thirds of the face, whereas laser resurfacing can be performed all over the face.
- Cosmetic SurgeryThere are several approaches to take when performing facelifts and neck lifts on men; Dr. Morrow will review all the options with you depending on your age, overall health, and cosmetic surgery goals.
- Facial Implants
- Chin AugmentationThe key to successful chin augmentation (mentoplasty) lies in understanding the patient's goals and expectations, selecting a suitable implant, and placing the implant with minimal disruption to soft tissue. Dr. Morrow uses computer imaging to establish a customized treatment plan and discusses with each patient what he can realistically expect from his chin augmentation. Solid, silastic implants designed in a variety of shapes and sizes are used; these implants allow cosmetic surgeons to customize their surgical plans with the added ability to change or reverse the augmentation in a safe manner if warranted.
- Forehead LiftIf your problem is droopy or heavy eyebrows, a permanently furrowed brow, or a tense angry look that does not go away, a forehead lift may benefit you.
- Skin CancerBoth nature and heredity play roles in the aging of our skin. A lifetime of exposure to the sun, pollution, stress, alcohol, and smoke all weaken the skin's natural support structure. Sun exposure causes increased production of melanin—the pigment that darkens the skin—and promotes the development of freckles, sunspots, and skin cancer. Smoking also contributes to the formation of wrinkles, and high levels can have a damaging effect on the skin.
- Acne Treatment
- LesionsAside from laser skin resurfacing, Dr. Morrow can use the laser to treat birthmarks or damaged blood vessels, remove port wine stains, and treat spider veins without major surgery. Other types of facial lesions that can be treated with the laser include hemangiomas, warts, scars, stretch marks, tattoos, and rosacea.
- Chemical PeelsA number of chemical agents are available to remove a variable amount of the skin surface to allow the regeneration of newer, more youthful skin. Chemical peels are classified as superficial, medium, or deep, depending on the strength of the chemical used.
- Skin CareProfessional grade skin care products, or cosmeceuticals, go above and beyond their intended function of external beautification and enhancement of the skin by offering additional therapeutic and anti-aging benefits. They are formulated to improve the skin's health and appearance as well as having positive physiological effects on the skin at the cellular level.
- MicrodermabrasionMicrodermabrasion is safe for all skin types including Asian, Hispanic, and African-American because there is no risk for skin discoloration. There is no age restriction and it is appropriate to use as needed on problematic and acne-prone skin, rosacea, or sun-damaged, aging, or sensitive skin.
- Burns
- Sports MedicinePhysiologically, most male noses have thick nasal tip skin that worsens with age, contributing to a bulbous droopy tip that often requires structural grafting. Additionally, because of previous sports injuries, many males present with crooked noses, which are a real challenge to correct. That's where Dr. Morrow's experience comes into play.
