RoCA is a multi-arts center that attracts over 25,000 visitors annually. It is a seventy-year-old center started by Helen Hayes, Aaron Copeland and Henry Varnum Poor among others. It is the only center in Rockland with a rotating exhibit sculpture park. Sited on 10 lush acres including nature trails, The Catherine Konner Sculpture Park is free to the public dawn to dusk 7 days a week, featuring emerging and established artists. Three indoor galleries provide rotating themed exhibitions throughout the year. All exhibits are free and open to the public, with the exception of July and August when Camp is in session, there are no exhibits and the Sculpture Park is only open on the weekends. RoCA also presents a variety of monthly concerts with well-known musicians. RoCA is a great place to see NYC caliber exhibitions or performances. It's 2-acre sculpture park is really worth a visit. You'll see a bright orange starburst on the lawn as you enter the 10 acre property. If you are looking for a local treasure, I highly recommend RoCA.
