The engineer gave a biased and unfair evaluation of my house and this cost me at least $25000. He basically scared away the buyer by saying my house would collapse. I had my house evaluated by another structural engineer and a company that specializes in construction and have in writing that the house is structurally sound. In my opinion this engineer should not be asked for his opinion on structural issues. If you are selling your house make sure he dos not come anywhere near it.
