MAT can benefit those who are struggling with an addiction to prescription painkillers, heroin, or other opioid drugs. Adults who take part in MAT at West Milwaukee CTC receive a prescription for methadone, with the appropriate dosage based on their unique needs. Medications like methadone can help patients achieve stabilization by reducing the uncomfortable effects of withdrawal.
