Nine Irish Brothers is an award-winning traditional Irish pub--recently named the Best Irish Pub in the State of Indiana by Yelp and Buzzfeed--with two convenient locations in Greater Lafayette, Indiana, and a third location in the heart of Massachusetts Avenue in Indianapolis. Well-behaved patrons of all ages are welcome from 11 a.m. to 10 p.m., unless circumstances prohibit minors (e.g. large, rowdy bands). Nine Irish Brothers is proud to be smoke-free. Reviews
A small group of us went on a Friday night before the movies. It was not busy. The seating is uncomfortable. They put us at two small round tables pushed together that did not accommodate our group very well. The waitress was indifferent and not attentive to our needs. The food quality was inconsistent. Some of our food was hot, other's had food that was served barely warm. The manager did stop by our table and we expressed our concerns. She gave us a 25% discount, but, I will probably not return. I can't believe that the reviews are so good. The place does not stack up to other restaurants in the area in any capacity.
I'm from Ireland and I can say, with my hand on my heart, that O'Bryan's 9 Irish Brothers is the best Irish pub I've set foot in since moving to the States 12 years ago.
The food is wonderful and authentic. The atmosphere rivals a cozy pub in a quaint Irish town. The owners, Jan and Jerry are sooo hospitable. Their family cannot do enough for you! The staff are exceptional. The entertainment is wonderful any night of the weekend, especially following a Purdue game.
A visit to West Lafayette wouldn't be complete without a visit to 9 Irish Brothers!

I made 5pm dinner reservations for 22 for my son's recent Purdue graduation . At 5:15 pm., 16 of the party had arrived, we had ordered drinks and appetizers waiting for the rest of our guests. Management approached asking if the rest of my party would be coming because they had another party coming in at 7pm and it was 5:30pm already. She explained they "usually only schedule 2 hours for graduation parties. I explained it was only 5:15 pm and my other party members would be arriving shortly. I explained to her that I was not told when I made the reservation there was a "time limit" on a reservation for 22 people. The rest of my party arrived by 5:30pm and we quickly ordered our dinners. We felt rushed for the rest of the evening. We left by 7PM.Food: The "hot dinners" were served "warm: and overall the food was just ok. Server: Our server was attentive. WARNING: If you are making any reservation for a party, be sure to talk to them about their time limits.
I love Nine Irish, I imagine it's about as authentic as you can get without actually going overseas. The food is amazing, I love the fish and chips. Everything is reasonably priced. We go there every year for St. Patrick's Day. It's the best!
Everything about the establishment is wonderful. Great customer service and appreciation. The food is fabulous! There is a wide variety of beverages to serve all desires. Great selection of Irish whiskeys. Jerry and Jan and the wait staff are so people oriented, you feel like one of the family.
Today was our first visit, We are very impressed- The friendliness, quick accurate service without being rushed-helpful suggestions on choices-The Smiddens(sp)Beer is excellent-there were 4 of us so we were able to sample quite a few items and each was as delicious as the next-and the deserts absolutely the best and the coffee outstanding-We will be visiting often and probably take the bus there so we don't have to worry about driving home -Looking forward to seeing some of the brothers in their Kilts as well...BRAVO 9 Irish Brothers!!
Very nice Irish restaurant. A favorite spot for Purdue students. I had lunch here and ordered the corned beef and cabbage. The meat was so tender. Later that night I went back with my brother and some of his college friends. They had a fantastic Irish band playing. Not my first choice of music, however, the band was good and they fit in well with the establishment. The owners are husband and wife and they made it a point to greet the locals and college students.
