- Dental ExaminationAlmost anyone. However, treatment may not be as effective for some as it is for others. Your dental professional can determine if you are a viable candidate for this procedure through a thorough oral exam, including a shade assessment.
- X-raysAt Mohr & Mohr Smiles, we use digital radiography, a computerized process. Until recently, having dental X-rays taken was an uncomfortable, cumbersome procedure, and it would take up to 10 minutes to develop the film. Now, all we do is place a sensor next to your tooth, and within seconds your X-ray is displayed clearly on a computer screen. Because of the brief exposure time, the amount of radiation is reduced by up to 90%. This digital process is highly efficient, too, because once the X-ray image is on our screen, we can enhance it for a more accurate diagnosis, save it for instant retrieval, and send it to insurance companies or dental specialists.
- Oral Cancer ScreeningIn the past year, oral cancer has been the direct cause for more than 8,000 deaths in the United States. What makes this number even more tragic is that it can be identified early and prevented with an oral cancer screening.

- Fluoride TreatmentFluoride applications help to strengthen the enamel on your child’s teeth, making it more difficult for cavities to begin. We recommend fluoride treatments every six months to safeguard your teeth.
- Dental SealantsSealants protect the chewing surfaces of the back teeth and should be applied as a child’s permanent teeth erupt. Though typically placed on children’s teeth, adult molars can also be sealed, provided a tooth does not show evidence of decay. The sealants that our West Lafayette preventive dentists have placed have been highly successful in preventing decay.
- Fillings
- VeneersUsually customized from porcelain, veneers are thin, semi-translucent facings bonded to a single tooth or multiple front teeth. Veneers are durable, stain resistant, and natural looking. They conceal broken, chipped, discolored, crooked, and misshapen teeth. They can provide you with the smile you have always wanted. See our Smile Gallery for an illustration of our cosmetic dentistry services.
- CrownsWe warranty our services for 3 years, providing you return for your recommended preventive hygiene appointments. Most fillings will last many years unless there is recurrent decay. Crowns generally can last up to 20 years or more, also providing there are no underlying problems. The most common reason for a crown to come off is decay underneath.
- BridgesA fixed bridge is used to replace missing teeth, create a normal bite, prevent stress on the dental arch, prevent the drifting and tilt of adjacent teeth, inhibit decay in difficult areas, and more. Bridges are composed of abutments (the sound teeth on either side acting as supports) and the pointic (a framework attached to the abutments with artificial teeth attached to that framework). Our dental bridge and implant patients appreciate the expertise and training that Drs. Cameron and Beth Mohr have in this field as well as success with their patients. See our Smile Gallery for an illustration.

- Deep CleaningDeep cleaning of the crowns and roots of teeth is the first step. Change in oral hygiene is essential. Antibiotics or surgery may also be recommended.
- DenturesPartial dentures are indicated if some serviceable teeth are present for support in conjunction with the gums and jawbone. A partial denture from our West Lafayette dental office provides form and functional replacement for missing teeth.
- Dental ImplantsDental implants replace teeth that have been missing since birth or have been lost due to gum disease, infection, trauma, or decay. Implants are surgically attached to the jawbone, and become a permanent part of your mouth. Dental implants look, feel, and function like natural teeth because they are made of a metal that is highly compatible with the jawbone. As a result, the implant (a small post that protrudes from the gum) is able to fuse easily with the underlying bone. See our Smile Gallery for an illustration.

- Teeth WhiteningTeeth-whitening procedures offer patients with stained, discolored, or dull teeth an opportunity to have a whiter, brighter smile. Whitening significantly reduces external surface stains affected by age, food, beverages, and tobacco products. We provide both an at-home and an in-office whitening system option.
- Cosmetic DentistryBonding is a more conservative process in which tooth-colored material is applied, sculpted into shape, hardened, and polished to match the surrounding teeth. With this cosmetic dentistry procedure, you can close gaps, repair chipped or fractured teeth, and/or disguise discolored teeth. Bonding usually requires one office visit and no anesthesia. Bonding is the choice of treatment for patients who have minor front teeth imperfections.
