Established in 1959, Welby Way Elementary and Magnet School is a learning center that serves more than 700 students in kindergarten through grade five. The school offers English Language Learners and special education programs. It also supports activities, such as music and physical education. The school s staff includes a math coach, speech teacher, occupational therapist, psychologist and nurse. Welby Way Elementary and Magnet School operates a school site council, chorus and homework club. The school conducts several fundraising drives and art and essay contests, as well as organizes events, such as book fairs and Halloween parades. In addition, it offers meals, day care and after-school enrichment programs. Welby Way Elementary and Magnet School s facilities include a playground, computer laboratory, cafeteria, and library and media center.
