General Info

Hammer Packaging is a multicolor packaging printer of sheet-fed cut and stack labels, box wraps and premium packets, along with roll fed and water-base, flexo-graphic pressure sensitive labels, wrap labels and form and fill labels for consumer products. Some of the services offered by Hammer are remote proofing systems, wide format printing capabilities, embossing and paper, film or foil printing. Herman J. Meyering founded the company in 1912 as Genesee Valley Lithographic Company. Hammer Packaging moved to its 90,000-square-foot facility in West Henrietta, N.Y., in April 1999. The company also operates two subsidiaries in Rochester, N.Y., J. MacKenzie, a paper sheeting and converting facility, and New Frontier Packaging, a flexo-graphic packaging printing operation founded in 1992 and 1999, respectively.
