Located in West Hartford, Conn., Charter Oak Academy of Global Studies serves students in prekindergarten through grade five. The academy employs an early intervention teacher, media specialist, music and physical education teachers, occupational therapist, nurse, psychologist and social worker. It additionally employs several teaching assistants, paraprofessionals, custodians and resource officers, as well as operates a media center. Charter Oak Academy of Global Studies is a part of West Hartford Public Schools, which operates more than 10 elementary schools, nearly five middle schools and two high schools. The school district serves more than 10,000 students.
