Merlinda Elementary School, a California Distinguished School, serves more than 500 students and was founded in 1962. The elementary school is a coeducational institution that enrolls students in kindergarten through grade five. Merlinda Elementary School has a library that provides access to online encyclopedias, dictionaries, maps, magazines, newspapers, databases, graphics and other reference materials. Its core curriculum includes various subjects, such as art, health and physical education, math, science, social studies and technology. In addition, the school has a cafeteria that serves a variety of food items to students. Merlinda Elementary School is located in West Covina, Calif.
