It operates specialized centers that offer component coating, cutting, stamping and forming services. The company serves several automotive, aerospace, medical and engine manufacturing industries. It processes a variety of substrates, including steel, titanium, brass, zinc, copper, brass, bronze and plastic. Ionbond operates equipment that includes plasma-assisted chemical vapor deposition, tetrabond and chemical vapor aluminizing. It performs laser surface treatments that include remelting, alloying, cladding and dispersion hardening services. The company operates more than 400 systems in over 30 countries. It works in partnership with several organizations, including the Materials and Surfaces Training Institute and the Society of Vacuum Coaters. Ionbond maintains a location in West Chicago, Ill.
