Penn Wood Elementary School is an educational facility that provides a range of learning opportunities for more than 450 students in kindergarten through grade five. It offers classes in art, reading, music and physical education. The school also provides special education programs for gifted and talented students. Penn Wood Elementary School offers the English as a Second Language program. In addition, its academic curriculum includes science, math, geography and history. The school provides guidance counseling and transportation services. Penn Wood Elementary School also conducts various athletic events and operates a home and school association. It maintains a cafeteria and library and is a part of the West Chester Area School District.
