Established in 1912, Devereux Human Resource is a division of Devereux. It is a nonprofit organization that provides services for persons with emotional, developmental and behavioral disabilities. It offers residential and day treatment programs, community-based group homes, partial hospitalization, transitional living arrangements, supervised apartments, foster care homes and special education day schools. In addition, it also offers family counseling and therapy, preventive and post-discharge services, aftercare programs, and vocational and prevocational training. The organization employs approximately 6,000 people and provides special treatment to more than 15,000 individuals annually. It operates a clinical training and research department that undertakes a variety of programs, including early childhood initiative programs, direct care training resource programs, predoctoral internship programs and professional psychology traineeships. It is located in Villanova, Pa.
