This Shop Rite sets itself apart from others in its superior produce selection, with baby vegetables on display, as well as a large variety of exotic mushrooms and every pepper imaginable, including Scotch Bonnet. In addition, their takeout section is wonderful; their chefs won the Taste of Essex competition. Check out the tempting variety and you'll treat yourself often. They also have developed an excellent cheese section, with many international offerings. Their ethnic selections are less imaginative, but they have recently expanded the natural/health food aisle to include a huge choice of grocery products. Their in-house bakery items are delicious and always fresh. And perhaps best of all is the friendly staff. The store also has twice yearly event tastings and sponsors local concerts.
