      The host that greets you at the door and the bartenders are excellent. The servers are mediocre. The food is good to outstanding depending on what you order. My favorite is the chicken salad, I crave it all the time, the dressing is delicious, slightly sweet and unique with crunchy tortilla strips..it is quite filling I am usually unable to finish in one sitting. Good selection of wines, ports which they allow you to taste. I tend to think the food is a bit overpriced, but the ambiance is nice.

      J. Alexander s is a contemporary American restaurant that features a range of products prepared by an in-house chef. It is a casual dining restaurant that was founded in 1971 by three local businessmen from Nashville, Tenn. The restaurant is known for its award-winning prime rib and baby back ribs, as well as desserts made from scratch. Its menu also features a variety of hardwood-grilled steaks, salmon, seafood, soups, entr es, salads, burgers and sandwiches. The restaurant maintains one of its locations in West Bloomfield, Mich., and features a variety of architectural designs, building finishes and original artwork to provide its guests with an attractive environment. It also offers a selection of American wines that includes pinot noir, merlot, cabernet sauvignon, chardonnay and champagne. Additionally, J. Alexander s sells gift cards for various occasions.
